BoardingDuring the boarding, all the passengers are guided to the plane. If the flight has seat reservations boarding might be done in several phases. Listen careful to the boarding instructions.
You have to present your boarding pass and sometimes your passport or identification during boarding. Some airports also have an additional security control during boarding. Read more about security controls in the security check section.
You should not stand first in the boarding line since you are a first time flyer. Stand a little bit behind and follow the procedure. Sometimes you are guided direct to the plane and sometimes you are guided to a shuttle. The boarding is an easy procedure and you should not meet any problems here. You should however be aware of that persons that are under influence of alcohol might be denied boarding the plane.
When you enter the plane, find your seat. Put your carry-on baggage in an empty deposit box or under the seat in front of you. If you have a seat next to the emergency exit, you will not be able to put your baggage under the seat; in such cases, you will have to put the baggage in a deposit box. Try to be seated as fast as possible. Fasten your seatbelt and wait for the take-off.
