Packing Your Baggage
You have to pack your checked baggage and your carry-on baggage. Regarding of your ticket type and airport there are restrictions on weight and number of pieces. Please consult your airline for more options. Important: Always pack your baggage yourself.
Packing your checked baggage.
This baggage is checked in before you enter the security zone at the airport. Checked in baggage can, in difference to hand baggage, contain sharp objects. However, due to security reasons there are some limitations on baggage:
- Your baggage can not contain any dangerous goods like compressed gases, corrosives, explosives (includes firework), flammable liquids and solids, radioactive materials, oxidizing materials, poisons, infectious substances, and briefcases with installed alarm devices
- The weight of your baggage must not exceed the weight limits given by the airline. If you have over weighted baggage, contact your airline in advance.
- The size of your baggage must not exceed the size limits given by the airline. If you have oversized baggage, contact your airline in advance.
- Electronic devices in baggage must be turned off.
- It is not recommended that you pack valuable items like cash, jewellery, travelers cheques and laptop computers in your checked baggage.
- Undeveloped films and cameras should be putted in carry-on baggage since screeners can destroy these if packed in checked baggage.
- Cigarette lighters are not allowed in carry-on baggage in U.S..
- Lock your checked baggage.
Packing your carry-on baggage
Carry-on baggage is the baggage that you bring into the security area and airport. For security reasons, there are restrictions on what you can pack into your carry-on baggage:
- Your carry-on baggage can not contain any sharp objects (knifes, scissors, cutters, straight razors, etc).
- Your carry-on baggage can not contain cigarette lighters if your departure or destination is in the United States.
